Welcome Back, Crosby

In his first game with the Weasels, at last month’s Red Wednesday, Timothy Crosby was not give the warmest of welcomes.  His England and Jay Honnold’s Germany never quite got on the same page, both finishing middle of the pack.  Timothy made sure his return engagement went a little differently.  Playing Russia, he fought off an early incursion by Germany, this time played by newcomer Jens Forsgård, stabbed his early ally, Christian Brown in Turkey, and coasted to a 10 center board top. First time’s a charm

Michael Stover may have been playing his first game of Diplomacy ever last night, but a neutral observer would be forgiven for not realizing it.  Michael formed a solid RT with club vet Brandon Fogel and then resisted universal calls to stab his ally until just the right moment, securing a 10 center top on a board featuring the top 4 players in the current league standings. In the latest Red Wednesday, Jay Honnold in Germany rode a Western Triple to his second board top of the season by artfully keeping his neighbors on all sides in conflict with each other.  The win moved him up to 5th in league standings, less than 2 points out of 3rd.
