It’s Moot Week! Here’s the latest news from the Weasels.
All Roads Lead to Moot
In anticipation of this weekend’s big tournament at UIC, we’ve published a helpful article. Check it out for parking and public transportation tips as well as an explanation of how to find us this weekend. (We’ll be in the Atrium at 700 S Halsted.) We may add other tips this week as time permits, so come back often.
Last Call for Housing
For real this time, we need to turn in our final count for the dorm by tomorrow. As of right now, we have 12 people staying at the dorm on Friday and 14 on Saturday. Should be fun. If you want to join us, let me know before 2 p.m. tomorrow (June 10). It’s $41 per night for a single, $30 per night for a double.
As of right now, we’re expecting 30 people for Moot, and I’m still waiting to hear from 11 others. Now, plenty of these players won’t be participating in all three rounds, so we’re probably looking at three boards per round. We’ll see.
Once again, the tournament will be Saturday and Sunday, with two rounds the first day and one the second. The cost at the door will be $40, $20 for students. Paid-up Weasels will save $5, and you can preregister through Thursday for additional savings.
For the schedule and more, check out the website. Then make your plans to join us!

The Sneak is looking for someone who can convert Matt Sundstrom’s rating system to a searchable, web-based database. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help or have questions. And thanks again to John Gramila for tackling our Joomla project.
Dues Are Due
Dues for 2015 are now due. We’ve kept our rates the same. A regular membership will cost you $25; the student rate is just $10. Dues will get you $5 off at Weasel Moot, eligibility for club awards and the Weasel Royale championship game, and–when we think of it–first crack at our house games. Dues pay for our club awards, the Meetup group, our website, and the Royale award and hosting subsidy. Please consider paying dues today. You may do so via PayPal here or by giving cash to a member of the Sneak. Thank you to the 26 Weasels who have paid up so far, including Ali Adib and Brian Beck. Thanks, Guys! We appreciate your support.
That’s all for this week. Remember to save money by preregistering for Moot!
