Here’s the latest news from the Weasels.
Moot Is Busting Out All Over
It’s June 1, and we’re Mooting in 12 days! Who’s excited? Take a look at the list of confirmed players, then let us know if your name should be on it. And don’t forget to preregister to save $5 on the registration fee, or $2 if you’re a student.
The dates, again, are June 13-14, and we’ll be in the Atrium at UIC, 700 S Halsted. Next week, we’ll have some parking tips and other tidbits for you.
Also, we turned in our housing guarantee last Friday, but UIC says we can still book additional rooms, so we’ve extended housing preregistration through this Thursday. If you’re planning to join us and would prefer not to commute, or you’re traveling to the event and haven’t booked a room, then preregister to reserve your spot in the dorm. Singles are just $41 per night; you can split a double for $30 per night. They’re practically giving it a way.

Updated Brawl Standings
We’ve updated the Bar Room Brawl series standings through last month’s game at the Red Lion. We’ve now played 13 games in the series with 45 players participating. Newcomer Ali Adib continues to hold down the top spot, but veteran Matt Sundstrom is right on his tail. Check out the complete standings.
Brawlers Wanted
And speaking of the Brawl, we’re sitting once again on an awkward number for this week’s Red Wednesday. This time, we have 10 players signed up, including two more first-timers. We can make two boards work with 12 players, 13 is a little easier, and 14 is best of all. Want to help us reach two boards? We could use you!

- August 15 at Eric Brown’s home in Wayne, beginning at 11 a.m. until no later than 10 p.m. Have seven; need seven more for the second board.

Dues Are Due
Dues for 2015 are now due. We’ve kept our rates the same. A regular membership will cost you $25; the student rate is just $10. Dues will get you $5 off at Weasel Moot, eligibility for club awards and the Weasel Royale championship game, and–when we think of it–first crack at our house games. Dues pay for our club awards, the Meetup group, our website, and the Royale award and hosting subsidy. Please consider paying dues today.
