Room Reservations: We’ve reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn, 33 W. Illinois in the heart of Chicago’s bustling River North neighborhood and just two blocks from the famed Magnificent Mile. The room rate is $189 per night. To reserve your room, call 312-832-0330. Mention Weasel Moot 2014 to get our room rate. The cut-off for our block is April 28!

Alternative Housing: We are not on the hook for rooms at the Hampton, so if you can get a better rate elsewhere–or at the Hampton on your own–don’t hesitate. For travelers on a tight budget, consider the hostel at 24 E. Congress Parkway (hichicago.org/). It’s less than two miles from the venue and an easy commute by el, bus, or cab. You may also find a good deal here: stay.universitycenter.com/. University Center offers dorm-style living. It’s near the hostel and also a short commute from the Hampton Inn.

Airbnb (www.airbnb.com/s/Chicago) is another option for finding a good deal.

Great news for the fashionably minded Weasel: We now have apparel available for purchase at http://weasels.spreadshirt.com. For now, choose from two styles: A general Weasel Moot VIII t-shirt featuring our new club slogan on the back — “Don’t dot me, Bro.” — or a “warrior” t-shirt. A modest commission (so modest I don’t even know how much it is) from each sale goes back to the club. Hope to see a lot of you wearing these t-shirts at Moot!

Just a quick note: I have four box seats to the Cubs-Cardinals game on Friday the 25th. I’m holding them for our travelers. Game is at 3:05 p.m. If you want one of the tix, let me know and plan your travel accordingly.
