Here’s the latest news from the Weasels.
Game on at the Lion
Thursday’s game at the Red Lion in Lincoln Square is full. As always, standbys are welcome. If there’s sufficient interest, perhaps we could start a second board. The game will start at 6:30 p.m. and end no later than 11.
Looking for Players for Ted’s Game
The December 7 game at Ted McClelland’s home in Rogers Park, meanwhile, is stuck on three players. Who wants to join the fun? Ted has a great space for Diplomacy, and this is the first opportunity to play a house game since the Undercard on October 26. The game will begin at 11 a.m. and end when it ends.
Throwing Weasels to the Wolves
Nate Cockerill is organizing a recruiting game for WolfCon, a Chicago gaming convention that will take place the weekend of Thanksgiving at the Irish American Heritage Center, 4626 N Knox Ave. The game will be November 30 at 1 p.m. WolfCon charges $15 for a one-day pass.
The Weasels last staged a game at WolfCon in 2007. That year, Greg Duenow, Thom Comstock and I attended and managed to find four players to round out the board. If you’re interested in joining Nate this year, speak up in the comments section below or email Nate at nathancockerill@yahoo.com.

Dues
We hope to send out our annual e-appeal for 2014 dues in the next month. In the meantime, you can use the PayPal link we set up for 2013 to pay your 2014 dues. We’re still charging $25, $10 if you’re a student. Nine people have already paid their dues; thanks.
Important Dates
- Nov. 28: Thanksgiving. Be thankful for the Weasels.
That’s all for this week.
