The Weekly Weasel — Week of Nov. 19

Here’s the latest news from the Weasels.
Four New Faces, Same Old Board-Topper
Our first bring-a-friend event was a hit last week at the Red Lion. Ten people showed up, and we initiated four new Weasels. The board-topper, however, was a familiar face. See who it was and check out the game summary.

The Brawl Thickens
After the Red Lion game, we updated the standings for the inaugural Barroom Brawl series. Check out the leaders.

WDC Website Is Up
Laurent Joly has set up a website for next year’s World Diplomacy Championship, which will be Aug. 23-25 in Paris. You can also find the link in the Links menu on the left side of our website.
Players Needed for Dip and Drinks in Downers Grove
We’re shorthanded for next week’s game at Emmett’s Alehouse in Downers Grove. We still need five. Who’s in? The game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. until no later than 11 on Nov. 28.

Game Openings

  • Nov. 28 at Emmett’s Alehouse in Downers Grove, beginning at 6:30 p.m. until no later than 11. Need five.
  • Dec. 9 at Dan Burgess’ home in Downers Grove, beginning at 11. Have seven, but one’s tentative, so speak up soon if you want that last spot.
Sign up for games at the website, on Meetup, or by emailing your faithful War Weasel (which is now Nate Cockerill, nathancockerill@yahoo.com).

Important Dates
  • Nov. 28: Dip and Drinks returns to Downers Grove.
That’s all for this week. Have a great Thanksgiving, and remember to count the Weasels among your blessings.

Jim
