Yesterday at Jim O’Kelley’s home we had our second game of the season. Yours truly held on the entire game to end with a one center Italy or what Peter Yeargin affectionately refers to as a "one dot moron".
But back to the matter at hand , recruiting new players for the club. We’ve had a slow go so far this season due to losing some core players to new jobs , movings and life in general. Every organization goes through growing pains and this the 8th season of the Windy City Weasels is no exception. We’re the most active and the greatest Diplomacy Club in the World and if, no not if , but when we host the World Diplomacy Championship again in four years we will need new active members so please join me at the Bring-a-Friend game next month. http://www.meetup.com/wcwdiplomacy/events/86935702/
The War Weasel Has Spoken

Sounds like a fun idea. I’m going to try to “do a friend a favor” by bringing him or her to the Red Lion game. The goal, I assume, is a board of regulars and a board of new and/or inexperienced players. Let’s make it happen.
Also, I have a family party today — celebrating the birthdays of my sister, Meg (Oct. 6); Savannah, our brown lab and Weasel mascot (Oct.11); me (Oct. 13); Kevin (Oct. 17); and Meghan (Oct. 30). I’ll try to post the results from yesterday’s game before I lie down for the night. For those wondering…the Pac-Man, Peter McNamara, topped with a 14-center Russia. Apparently he didn’t get the memo that yesterday was my birthday! I finished with a 10-center France, Paul Pignotti had a nine-center Germany, and our heroic War Weasel finished with a one-center Italy.
Will you support my move, Nathan, or will you stab me?
