The Weekly Weasel — Week of Aug. 20

Anyone up for some Diplomacy? We have game openings. Read on for the latest news from the Weasels.

Welcome Back, Mac
Australian Peter McNamara had so much fun playing Dip with us at WDC that he’s coming back for more. Business is bringing him back to town, so we’re organizing a game in his honor at Guthrie’s Tavern on Sept. 13. As always, it will start at 6:30 p.m. and end no later than 11. McNamara wants to see our bar game model in action so he can bring it back to the Bay Area, where the BADAssers have struggled to fill boards since hosting DipCon in April 2010.

It’s My Party and I’ll Stab if I Want To
I’ve been cleared to host up to two boards on my birthday, Oct. 13. We’ll start at 11 a.m. I’ll serve lunch and drinks, and if the weather cooperates, we’ll rehash the day’s events over cigars on the patio. Help me celebrate by signing up. No presents necessary, but I will accept Belgium.
