Are you counting the minutes till next weekend’s World Diplomacy Championship at Weasel Moot VI? Pass the time by reliving moments from the 2007 WDC in Vancouver.
This site contains lots of great footage and interviews from that tournament, including coverage of a final-round game in which a stab by me did not lead to the solo predicted by Andy "Buffalo" Bartalone. Anyway, check out the site, get in the mood, and enjoy.

Holy crap, Chris Martin lost a lot of weight!!! I gotta get into Ironmans!! Look at the introduction video about half way through for a shot of him. 🙂 Congrats, Chris.
Doug Moore did a hammer time on that tournament.
Five board tops in six rounds, including a solo and the non-board top was a second place 9 to first place 10.

He wrote a pretty good article about his run to the championship somewhere. I think maybe the Diplomatic Pouch. It’s worth looking up.
Also worth noting how much Dave Maletsky’s hat has grown over the years. Think there’s a correlation between his hat and Chris’ weight?
