Lokken tops board, holds onto first place

Season Seven front-runner Peter Lokken faced his closest pursuer plus three other players in the top 11 in today’s matchup at Matt Sundstrom’s home in Glenview. When the dust cleared after Fall 1906, Lokken was still in first, holding off his challengers with a nine-center board top. The final center counts were:

Austria (Ulysses Peterson): 6; 16.981 points.
England (Peter Lokken): 9; 38.208 points.
France (Don Glass): 4; 7.547 points.
Germany (Mike Whitty): 7; 23.113 points.
Italy (Dan Burgess): 1; 0.472 points.
Russia (Matt Sundstrom): 2; 1.887 points.
Turkey (Mike Morrison): 5; 11.792 points.

From a scoring standpoint, Game No. 182 was a throwaway game for Lokken, as it wasn’t one of his top three scores. But Morrison (second), Sundstrom (seventh), Glass (eighth) and Peterson (11th) also came up empty, and with time running out on the season, that’s almost as good as padding Lokken’s score.

Check out the supply center chart here. Next up are games this week at Guthrie’s Tavern on Thursday and Ted McClelland’s home in Rogers Park on Saturday. Both games are open, so sign up and make your run at the top seven and a spot in the 2012 Weasel Royale. Season Seven ends July 14 at the Weasel Pyle.
