Prime Weasel Dan Burgess had an emergency appendectomy last night. He’ll be in no condition to host Sunday’s game. We’re therefore seeking a new venue (suburbs or city) and four players to round out the board. Who wants to play some Diplomacy?
Beware the Ides of March
When: March 11 at Noon.
Where: The Red Lion, 4749 N Rockwell in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.
What: One board of Diplomacy.
Who:
- Nathan Cockerill
- Nathan Kos — dropped out Sunday morning

- Matt Sundstrom
- Peter Lokken
- Ben DiPaola
- Ulysses Peterson
If you can play, great. If you’re willing to host, even better. Let us know soon.

Okay, the game will be played at noon on Sunday at the Red Lion. We still need two, and possibly three, more players to make it happen, though. Who’s in?
Need three more to make this game happen. If we don’t have seven by tomorrow at Noon, we’ll pull the plug.
I can make it. Best wishes to Dan for a quick recovery.
This game was star-crossed from the beginning. We finally got a seventh player at about 2:20 p.m. Ulysses Peterson volunteered to play. But at about 8 this morning, Nathan Kos dropped out. That was the final straw.
So, we’ll try again to field our 175th game next Sunday at Tony Prokes’ home. In the meantime, at least Dan feels better.
