Last night at Emmett’s Alehouse in Downers Grove, Todd "The Mailman" Woodman delivered his second board top ever. His Turkey gobbled everything in sight, finishing with 11 centers. Top Turkey honors are his for the time being. Apparently 11 is a magic number for Woodman: The game was his 11th league contest with the club.
Game No. 165 ended by draw vote in Spring 1906 in the following center counts.
The supply center chart is here. How about some player commentary to flesh out the chart for us?
The game was our 16th of Season 7 and our 44th of the calendar year. Not a bad year for the Weasels!
McDuffee was playing for the first time with the Weasels. He heard about us from Thomas Haver at GenCon and again from Laurent Joly at the French national championship in November. McDuffee is attending school in Germany. After the French championship and without ever having played a game with us, he paid his 2012 dues and registered for the WDC at Weasel Moot VI. He’s heading back to Germany soon, but he’ll be back in July and hopes to get in a game or two before the WDC.
Between now and then, Woodman will be looking to prove that he’s a mailman who can deliver more than twice.
Next up for the Weasels is a game at the Red Lion in Lincoln Square on Jan. 4. Then John Gramila will host a game in Logan Square on Jan. 14. And we’ll be back at Guthrie’s Tavern on Jan. 25. We likely will schedule another Downers Grove bar game in January, as well. Stay tuned.

This comment has nothing to do with this game, but I just noticed that on my screen, the WDC link on the top menu sits just beneath the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago’s skyline. Not planned but cool nonetheless.
