Sneak expands to meet big year for the Weasels

Season 7 will be our biggest year yet, culminating in the World Diplomacy Championship at Weasel Moot VI, Aug. 10-12. The Sneak figured it could use additional hands, so at last night’s annual business meeting at the Weasel Pyle, the board proposed an amendment to the club charter that would add two at-large positions to the Sneak, increasing the size of the board to seven members from five. Ratification required 70 percent of the vote; the amendment passed 15-1.
Clerk of the Election Dan Burgess then ran the election, with each paid-up member permitted to vote for up to three of the five candidates. Burgess also collected ballots by email from those who weren’t fortunate enough to attend the Pyle.

The candidates were incumbents Jim O’Kelley and Christopher M. Davis, and Nate Cockerill, John Gramila and Peter Lokken. The top three vote-getters each won two-year terms. The bottom two got one-year terms. As of September 1, the new Sneak will be:

Dan Burgess (one year)
Nate Cockerill (two years)
Christopher M. Davis (two years)
John Gramila (one year)
Peter Lokken (one year)
Pete McNamara (one year)
Jim O’Kelley (two years)

The new Sneak will meet at or before Weasel Moot to form the government for Season 7.
