Weasels lose by an eyelash at inaugural trivia night

Weasels Peter Yeargin and Jim O’Kelley drove out to Downers Grove Wednesday night for the inaugural trivia night hosted at Emmett’s by Dan Burgess. Seven teams participated in the contest. Despite being outnumbered four or maybe even five to one, Team Weasel lost to the Downers Grove Running Club by the smallest of margins, a mere one point. The Weasels missed only two of 21 questions. If you know which car came first, the Accord, Camry or Taurus, or can name more than one Iron Chef, we could have used you.

Burgess will host the trivia night every Wednesday at Emmett’s. Team Weasel hopes to return for a rematch next month.

Those runners did well! I really wish there had been a prize for second place — I’ve got to work on that with the management. Sadly they are cutting back first prize to a $25 gift certificate. *sigh* Thanks to Jim and Peter for coming out — all Weasels are welcome and encouraged to try each Wednesday at 8pm!

Sorry, those are the only Iron Chefs I know.

The question was: What former Iron Chef appears on the PBS series “Spain… on the road again” with Gwyneth Paltrow?

  4. Jim O'Kelley

Here’s a good trivia question for your next one: How many pieces of pizza did Jim O’Kelley eat at Guthrie’s last night? 😡

7.5…one for each set of 2 beers
