Check out the supply center chart here. Here are few things worth noting on and off the chart.
- Nate Cockerill snaked three centers as Italy in 1901, the second Italian player to turn the trick in the past two months. (The other was my son Kevin.)
- I got my first build as England in 1905.
- Ted Phillips jumped out to seven centers as Russia by 1902 and had three northern fleets. He promptly squandered all his momentum with a series of misorders. In all, he misordered seven units, which may be a club record and certainly sets a new benchmark for tactical ineptitude.
- Is there a nickname somewhere in all those mistakes? Probably, but it comes too late. Ted showed up with a Strawberry Shortcake notebook, so we're now calling him Cake.
Perhaps the other players will have observations to contribute. I'm going to bed.
Next up for the Weasels is a third straight Wednesday night game. This time, we'll be back at the Red Lion on the 15th. We still need players, so how about signing up?
