Back in January, Prime Weasel Chris Davis and Nate Cockerill conducted an instructional Diplomacy game for the Chicago Board Game club. Thursday night at Ballydoyle, their efforts started to pay off.

Barry Preece, the first of the new players from that teaching game to play with us, topped Game No. 137 with a 14-center Turkey. In the process, he wrested Best Turkey from John Gramila, who had held it since the first game of the season. The game ended after the Fall 1907 turn in the following center counts:

Austria (Amanda Baumgartner): 0; 0.000 points.
England (Peter Lokken): 12; 38.503 points.
France (Todd Woodman): 3; 2.406 points.
Germany (Nathan Kos): 0; 0.000 points.
Italy (Dan Burgess): 0; 0.000 points.
Russia (Christopher M. Davis): 5; 6.684 points.
Turkey (Barry Preece): 14; 52.406 points.

The supply center chart is here. Now, let's hear from the players.
