We played our 11th game in the inaugural Bar Room Brawl Series Wednesday at the Red Lion in Lincoln Square, and we had another change in the top seven. Check out the Brawl standings. At the end of the season, the top seven finishers, regardless of membership status, will be invited to participate in a championship game at the Red Lion. In Diplomacy, Mr. Calhamer designed a game that has endured for nearly 55 years. Yesterday, as news spread through the small but rabid Diplomacy community that Mr. Calhamer had passed, our Facebook newsfeeds lit up with tributes to him and testimonials about how the game had changed lives. Through three games, Beefy Nate Cockerill, our Bull Weasel, leads the inaugural Barroom Brawl series with a score of 48.65 in one game. (The best three bar games count for score.) Matt Sundstrom is in second with 35.84 points from last night's board top. Chris Kelly is in third, just behind him with 35.56. Rounding out the top seven are the Australian Peter McNamara (33.78), Eamon Driscoll (22.34 in two games), Regular Pete McNamara (21.68), and Chris Radu (21.68), one of last night's novices.
